For example, when you support a local business, you’re also supporting your town, parish (Bermuda)/city, and neighbourhood. Businesses pay sales taxes to the Government the business is located in. Stray to a big box business elsewhere and that money isn’t benefiting your community at all. Plus, that tax money is used to support public schools, parks, roads, and sidewalks, as well as fund public service workers, like many of our family and friends.

MADE TO ORDER JEWELRY
All of our jewelry at Raw Island Jewels is made to order, which means that each piece is handmade from start to finish by our owner as the orders are received (and items are ordered). When we say that a piece is "made to order" it means that you are purchasing a product that isn't available to ship immediately and is made based on the size, style and custom requests made by the customer. By placing an order for "made to order" jewelry you are effectively reserving the product to ensure you receive it as soon as it is created.
Your payment will be taken immediately.
It's possible to cancel your order if it has not yet shipped. Please email us our team at email@example.com if you'd like to cancel your order.
Made to order pieces placed with an Express shipping method (US or International) can not be dispatched immediately. They will be dispatched using your chosen shipping method once creation is completed.
You will receive a ring similar to the one in the listing, but it will differ slightly since all our raw stones can vary in shape, size and color. You may see flaws or inclusions in the raw stones we use in our pieces - this is perfectly normal - look at them as birthmarks! This is why we call my pieces "Perfectly imperfect"! 😊
Electroforming (how we craft our rings) is an unpredictable technique, and we never know how our pieces will come out. Some come out with current lines, bumps, grooves, pits or uneven plating, but be assured that we always send a piece when we are 100% satisfied with the final look.

Our current processing time for international orders is 48 hours from order time + 3-5 weeks for crafting our raw stone rings + additional shipping time. If you are ordering (international) from our “Ready to Ship” section or other collections, our processing time is 48 hours + DHL Express 1-2 day shipping time. We deliver local orders as they are ready, and DHL delivers international between 1-2 days. Use our TRACK YOUR ORDER page to track your packages. Most of our pieces are made to order (once we receive your preferred size) and require time to put together - processing times are listed in the descriptions. Please double check the item description or our shop announcement bar (at the top of the site) at the time of ordering. If there are any new COVID-19 related delays we will reach out to you directly with updates.
If you have questions about your shipping times, please reference your order number and calculate the 48 hour processing time + 3-5 week crafting + shipping order window. Your order will ship during this time.

All orders ship from our headquarters in Bermuda. We ship to every country that uses DHL, or any country that the Bermuda Postal Service can ship to.
As soon as your order is processed, you will receive a tracking number or the option to enter your information in our TRACK YOUR ORDER page to view tracking. This usually takes between 1-3 days but can take up to 3-5 days during busy times. We thank you in advance for your patience and for supporting our small business.
Additional duties and custom fees may be charged at delivery by the importing government. If you are unsure if your government charges customs fees, please contact your local post office prior to ordering. We are not responsible for customs delays. We do not reimburse shipping fees due to customs delays.
RETURNS & EXCHANGES
If your jewelry arrived damaged please email us at email@example.com and we will happily exchange it for a new piece.
Items purchased on rawislandjewelry.com have a 35 day warranty. Due to the complex nature of our crafting process, our pieces cannot be repaired, however we are happy to replace items for free within the first 60 days of receipt.
Unfortunately, electroformed and soldered rings made by Raw Island Jewels cannot be resized.
When making your purchase, you must be 100% certain of your (or the recipient’s) ring size.
If your ring doesn't fit you once you've received it, and you would like to have a new ring made to your correct size, there will be a 50% exchange fee of the original price. Our process of changing a ring size is complex - each ring will have to be handmade and start at the beginning of the process again. In order to get the most accurate sizing, we encourage you to get your fingers sized by a professional or measure a ring that you currently have.
You must contact me within three (3) days of delivery and return the ring in its original package within ten (10) days.
Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs.

To minimize exchanges after the holidays, we highly suggest purchasing gift certificates or having the recipient's finger sized professionally before purchasing a Raw Stone Ring.
Raw Stone Ring exchanges can take between 3-5 weeks as all pieces will have to be remade from scratch + new materials + additional shipping (unfortunately, stones cannot be replaced, and rings cannot be resized due to the complex nature of the crafting process). Raw Island offers a unique craft, and we appreciate your patience and understanding of what it takes to run a small business of this kind in Bermuda.

At this time, we only accept exchanges. We do not accept returns. We are happy to give you an exchange within 7 days of purchase (7 days for local and 20 days for international) if the ring is returned in the same state that it was sold. We do not provide a pre-paid shipping label for returns. If you are not satisfied with your order, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Raw Island Jewels is not responsible for items that are lost by the mail carrier or by any shipping service.
Discount codes and gift card codes can be redeemed on the Checkout page.
Once you have added items to your cart, discount codes are entered at the checkout page. You will see a grey square box for you to enter your discount code. You must press "Apply" to see the order total update to the discount code that was entered. Please apply all discount codes before placing your order. We are unable to update your order or provide a discount refund after the order is placed.
No. Unfortunately, we are unable to make price adjustments once orders have already been placed.
MATERIALS & CARE
To maintain the finish on your jewelry pieces and protect the raw stones, minimize contact with saltwater, and remove jewelry while sleeping or when exercising. Use the Raw Island Jewels polish cloth to remove the natural oils and clean rings periodically. Constantly dropping, banging, or catching the raw gemstone and prongs will weaken it over time. Store your jewelry in a cool dry place.
Please allow for a .25 to .5 variance due to the hand formed and heavy plated nature of the ring bands. We recommend sizing up in most of the rings if between sizes or an exact size. We do allow an exchange if you did happen to order one of the standard rings in the wrong size. Custom rings are not eligible for a resize or exchange.
Yes, absolutely! We use genuine stones for all of the designs.
We proudly use nickel-free recycled metals and ethically sourced stones for all of our designs. The foundational metals that we use are copper and silver.
All wire pieces are gold-filled (Gold filled pieces have about 2 or 3 layers of actual gold mixed with other metals).
All “dipped jewelry” is plated using an electroforming ‘plating’ process. Electroforming is a jewelry process where multiple layers of metals are allowed to build up, or “form” onto a surface. Our jewelry is copper electroformed first (base layer) and then with 14k gold. Created to last through years of wear and tear.
All of our jewelry at Raw Island Jewels is waterproof and anti-tarnish. However, we cannot say that your items will never tarnish or affect your skin.
Sterling silver is an alloy containing metals that react with chemicals found in air and may produce tarnish; high moisture levels, exposure to sunlight, and contaminants such as saltwater can also increase this reaction.
We encourage our customers to be mindful of the use of lotions or a high skin acidity that can cause skin or rings to turn colours. Tarnish on metal can also rub off the jewelry and onto the skin, causing skin discolouration.
Some people can have an allergic reaction to the small amount of copper in the jewelry. Gold-filled, copper, and brass can also tarnish, as described above. Tarnished jewelry can be easily cleaned and removed by using a jewelry polishing cloth. Raw Island Jewels includes one jewelry cloth in each order.
